Oxford City Korfball Club was set up in 1992 and has become the biggest club in Oxfordshire with three teams and around 30 regular players. We play all year round, indoors in the winter and outdoors in the summer. We compete in local league and cup competitions with clubs from Abingdon, Oxford University, Didcot, & Milton Keynes, as well as tournaments around the country.

Korfball is a unique mixed team sport that men and women play together, with similarities to netball, basketball, and handball, but very different. It's fast-moving and skillful, for players of all ages (we range from early 20s to 40s) and abilities (no experience at all, to 15+ years), and it's competitive yet friendly. OCKC players take part in the inter-counties |

Several OCKC players played for their home county in the recent UK Counties tournament (photos and video clip!)
Players from OCKC played for Oxfordshire and the combined Berks/Hants team in the recent inter-counties tournament. This year the tournament was held in Wallingford, repeating Oxfordshire's successful hosting of four years ago.
Sixteen counties took part in the two day competition, braving sun and torrential rain to battle for the title.

Oxfordshire came an excellent fourth, narrowly beaten by Kent for the bronze medals.
Berks/Hants came sixteenth, having earlier lost to Oxfordshire by just one goal.
The other team containing OKA players was Bucks, who came 11th, after just failing to qualify for the top eight playoffs.
