Teams are selected for the coming indoor season. City 2 and City 3 will be regarded as equal teams.
At the AGM we discussed the possibility of having City 2 and 3 as two equal
teams to promote development throughout the club. The committee discussed
this at some length, and this is what we have tried to do. Therefore,
although one team is called "City 2" and the other "City 3", this is purely
to allow Damien to know which is which in his League schedule. We have
decided which is "City 2" and which is "City 3" based solely on practical
considerations, in particular, that Dom is unavailable to coach on one of
the weekends when "City 3" are playing, so it made sense for him to coach
"City 2".
Since we have more than 30 members at the moment, we have picked squads of
10 or more players for each team. For City 2 and City 3 substitutes will be
made on a rotation system, so all players will get roughly equal game time.
For the first team all players will get an equal number of places in the
starting line up, and I will use tactical subs.
The teams are picked for the period until 1 January, thereafter we will look at team selection again.
