Oxford City Korfball Club was set up in 1992 and has become the biggest club in Oxfordshire with three teams and around 30 regular players. We play all year round, indoors in the winter and outdoors in the summer. We compete in local league and cup competitions with clubs from Abingdon, Oxford University, Didcot, & Milton Keynes, as well as tournaments around the country.

Korfball is a unique mixed team sport that men and women play together, with similarities to netball, basketball, and handball, but very different. It's fast-moving and skillful, for players of all ages (we range from early 20s to 40s) and abilities (no experience at all, to 15+ years), and it's competitive yet friendly. Curry night, bowling, paint balling.
Saturday 2nd Feb, 7pm, Spice Valley (Gloucester Green). A chance to try out Oxfords newest Curry house and enjoy a fine beverage or two or seven.
Saturday 1st March (??), 7pm, Bowling, Kasam
After the massive landslide victory in the last Bowling social (Battle of the Bowl: City vs Isis)
there maybe more competition this time round.
Paintballing - in Aprl
Shot paint at each other. Enough said.
We need to get numbers for these events asap. Let Jo know if you are interested in any or all of the above.

Saturday 23rd Feb - Luton Korfball Tournament.
We have the opportunity to go for an exciting days korfing in Luton. Luton has a triple sports hall which is supposed to be pretty nice and this means more games for everyone at the tourney! Michiel is collecting names for the team and we are definately short of players at the moment. If you are interested tell Michiel NOW!! We need to enter a team very very soon.
There are no matches that Sunday so the tournament is the only korfball available that whole weekend. Don't miss out. |
